Home Store Manager

Large Robeson County Nonprofit seeks full time Manager for Home Store. Successful candidate must possess vocational training in retail sales and at least 5 years of demonstrated successful retail management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications:

  1. Retail management skills including staff and volunteer management and scheduling, cash management and reporting.
  2. Ability to organize and display merchandise in a manner that will produce maximum sales in the Home Store.
  3. Possess positive attitude good interpersonal and management skills.
  4. Ability to read and interpret documents and to use a computer word processor, spread sheet, and inventory control software.
  5. Manage the Home Store budget.
  6. Demonstrates a strong customer service orientation.
  7. Outstanding communication skills and problem solving ability.
  8. Ability to work with all types of people- customers, volunteers, staff, committees, Board members, community representatives and other agencies and representatives of the press.

Duties:

  1. Supervise employees and volunteers engaged in sales work, cleaning, stocking and arranging merchandise, decorating, pricing, taking inventory and picking up donations.
  2. Plans and implements store layout of fixtures, merchandise and displays.
  3. Recruits and manages volunteers to assist in store operations, pick up donations, price merchandise, display, sell, clean and fill special needs such as evaluating antiques.
  4. Maintains financial and customer records and reports.
  5. Formulates pricing policies on merchandise and oversees the pricing. 
  6. Directs the advertising of the Home Store.
  7. Builds relationships to business and individual donors.
  8. Believes in and lifts up the mission of the Robeson County Church and Community Center in daily work in the Home Store, in speaking in the community and in other ways.

We are taking donations at 590 West 5th Street 
 Monday - Friday from 10am - 4pm and Saturdays from 10am - 1pm.

We hope to open the Home Store some time in the month of  May. We still need volunteers to help us get ready to open! 

We continue to need volunteers to help us repair our offices at 600 West 5th Street.

except the third Thursday which is our TFAP (gov't commodities) give away day. 
Bring your picture ID & Social Security Card for all the adults in the home and, either Medicaid card or Birth Certificate for all the children in the home.
