Home Store Manager
Large Robeson County Nonprofit seeks fulltime Manager for Home Store. Successful candidate must possess vocational training in retail sales and at least 5 years of demonstrated successful retail management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualifications include:
Retail management skills including staff and volunteer management and scheduling, cash management and reporting.
Ability to organize and display merchandise in a manner that will produce maximum sales in the Home Store
Possess positive attitude and good interpersonal and management skills
Ability to read and interpret documents and to use a computer word processor, spread sheet, and inventory control software
Manage the Home Store budget
Demonstrates a strong customer service orientation
Possess strong communication skills and problem solving ability
Ability to work with all types of people - customers, volunteers, staff, committees and Board members, community representatives, other agencies and representatives of the press.
Some of the Duties include:
Supervises employees and volunteers engaged in sales work, cleaning, stocking and arranging merchandise, decorating, pricing, taking inventory, picking up donations.
Plans and implements store layout of fixtures, merchandise and displays
Recruits volunteers to assist in store operations, pick up donations, price merchandise, display, sell, clean and fill special needs such as evaluating antiques.
Maintains financial and customer records and reports.
Formulates pricing policies on merchandise and oversees the pricing.
Directs the advertising of the Home Store.
Builds relationships with business and individual donors.
Believes in and lifts up the mission of Robeson County Church and Community Center in daily work in the Home Store, in speaking to the community, and in other ways.

Thanks to all of you who have donated your gently used items. We continue to need furniture for those referred by the American Red Cross and Southeastern Family Violence and to sell at bargain prices to our neighbors in need.
The Home Store Thrift Shop is full of bargains on used clothing and shoes for men, women, and children; used furniture and appliances; linens for the bed and bath; toys, books, baby items; decorative items for the home, kitchenware, rugs, dishes, exercise equipment, and other miscellaneous items. All items are donated and the selection varies. Seasonal inventory reduction sales on clothing and shoes are posted in the store every few months.
We welcome contributions of clean wearable clothing, furniture and useable household items. All donations are tax deductible. Proceeds supplement other programs of the Center. Vouchers to the Home Store Thrift Shop are accepted from the Center Emergency Assistance program, American Red Cross, and Southeastern Family Violence Center. We also assist the homeless, those just released from prison or the hospital, and others.
Hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday - 9am-5pm
Saturday - 9am-1pm
Summer hours are: 9am-4pm due to heat

and Saturdays - 9am-12pm
