Mission Work Teams Needed

Looking for Mission Work? Want to make a difference in someone's life who has mobility issues and may be trapped in their home? The Robeson County Church and Community Center is looking for enthusiastic mission work teams to help us minister to our community by building ramps, minor floor and roof repairs and building shelves. We are also looking those who love to paint!

We welcome all ages from 12 and up.

If this describes you and your volunteer team with a burning desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus, call us at 910-738-5204 to schedule a time to come see us!

The Housing Program (Home Repair) provides minor home repairs and handicap ramps for citizens of all ages.

We retrofit and repair homes owned by people who cannot afford to have the work done.  Repairs to roofs, walls, floors, porches, steps and exterior painting are done by volunteers, Mission Work Teams and Center staff. Throughout the year we offer the opportunity for work teams from around the country to come and improve lives by repairing floors, doors, bathrooms, kitchens, porches and steps, installing grab-bars and building ramps.

The Housing Program is in partnership with Home Depot. We receive inventory overruns, returned items and special order items to use in our home repair program. We are authorized to share these building materials with other nonprofits who would use them to improved the lives of our neighbors in need throughout the community. These items are NOT for sale and are NOT to be sold for profit. Please call Darlene Jacobs if your group has a need for materials to use for the betterment of the community.

The Housing Program does not provide home additions. Homeowners must reside in the home that is in need of repairs. Renters must obtain written permission from home owner for ramp installation.
